Students and faculty attended AIHce in Salt Lake City, UT.  Eight students traveled to Salt Lake City to attend the conference and network with industrial hygienists around the world.  Seven students presented posters (Changjie Cai, Joel Ramirez, Laura Kienlen, Kate Leonard, Levi Mines, Sarah Williams Ischer, and Anthony Yang), while Levi and Joel also presented their research in round tables.

Two students received scholarship award recognition (Sarah and Kate) and Laura won a "best poster" award from the AIHA Health Care Working Group for her poster "Comparison of Bioaerosol Collection Methods in the Detection of Airborne Influenza Virus."

The brave few also ran in Tuesday morning's annual fun run, described as up hill, followed (thankfully) by down hill.

Students, faculty, alumni, and Iowa hygiene professionals gathered at the Iowa reception for networking and to learn about exciting activities in the IH program at the University of Iowa.
